College of Nursing, Cuttack is a dynamic centre for educational excellence & a community of Integrity & caring. The faculty, management & staff work hand-in-hand to prepare competent, career-oriented, caring & professional nurses for various roles in the health care environment.

Our Trust:

Nayak Educational Trust was founded on 20th November 2003 with the aim to establish Nursing School, Nursing College, Medical College, Dental College, Technical College, Management College & also to promote the educational standards, technical, professional excellence & improve the functioning of the health system. It has founded a College at Cuttack known as “College of Nursing, Cuttack” to impart nursing education in B.Sc. (Nursing) course.

The Trust has a group of Advisers to look after its welfare & developmental activities.

The Trust is headed by Chairman Dr. Upendra Nayak former Professor & H.O.D, Clinical Hematology, SCB Medical College & Hospital ; Ex- Professor in G.S.L Medical College , Rajamahendri, Sr. Consultant, Dept. of Hematology, Kalinga Hospital, BBSR, Ex-Faculty member in Clinical Hematology in AI -Arab Medical University, Benghanzi, Libiya. Ex-Professor, Dept. of Pathology KIIMS, Bhubaneswar, Presently serving as Professor Dept. of Hematology, Hitech Medical College & Hospital, Bhubaneswar.

Successfully running 12th year B.Sc. Nursing Course.

Clinical training is given at SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack. Rural Community Health nursing training at RHC Jagatsingpur and Urban community Health training at UHC Jobra under SCB Medical College, Cuttack.

The Objectives of the Trust are:

To establish High Schools, College, Technical College. Technical Institutes, Medical and Dental College. Nursing School & Colleges Management Institution and other Organization to promote the educational standards and technical and professional excellence.
To establish hostel boarding and lodging houses and transportation for students.
To establish and maintain or acquire library or libraries for the benefit of the student community and general public.
To institute and award scholarship in India for the study. Research and apprenticeship for all or any of the aforesaid educational purpose.
To establish maintain run. Develop improve, execute grant, donation for and to aid and assist in the establishment maintenance running development improvement and extension of Hospital Clinics.
Nursing Home. X -ray plants Dispensaries. Maternity Homes. Recreations Centers and all similar institution as will afford treatment to alleviate human suffering and for the benefit of the poor.
To pay for the maintenance and education of underprivileged persons. Irrespective of their caste creed religion or ethnic background.
To grant prizes, loan rewards. Allowances and other financial assistance to the underprivileged persons irrespective of their caste. Creed religion and ethnic background to further careers.
To organize training programmers’ and camps for promoting the awareness of sanitation hygiene, cleanliness. Nutrition, health and education.
To make donations and contributions to other charitable institutions engage in activities compatible with the objects of this trust.

The income accruing on the Corpus of the Trust Property shall be applied for any or all of the above mentioned purposes and such other charitable purposes as the Board of Trustees for the time being decided from time to time.

Our Welfare Fund:(Nayak Educational Trust Welfare Fund)

Aiming to the Welfare & development of students, teaching & non-teaching staff, the Trust & College of Nursing, the Trust has founded a Welfare Fund & the Fund has been running by a committee headed by our Chief Adviser Mr. S.K Das. Nayak Educational Trust Welfare Fund would feel very glad & proud of any person/Institution /Organaisation donate amount to the fund for the development of the object of this Fund.The donation can be sent by the A/C Payee Cheque /DD in the name of “Nayak Educational Trust Welfare Fund”

Our Achievements:

We are proud to announce that 92% of the first batch (2004-2008) of students passed out in 1st Division. The same achievement ratio had been continuing fill 2012- 2016 batch. The last batch has broken record of 100% pass out with 95% student securing 1stDivision. Our students also secured 1st Rank in the Utkal University. All the candidates are well-placed in Teaching Institutions & leading hospitals of the state & country. Our students have won many prizes in different educational debates & cultural competitions, held at State level and National Level. They attend Seminars Organization State level nursing personnel in Advance Nursing Topics.

Our College Building:

Construction has begun on a new state-of-the-art environment “green” facility which will provide expanded opportunities for teaching, learning, and research and career growth.
